A water dispenser with a fixed connection or a gallon water dispenser?

At first glance, the main difference between water dispensers connected to the mains and those that use gallon containers is the connection to the mains water supply. This is not required for gallon-based water dispensers, as they contain a container of bottled water. On closer inspection, however, water dispensers connected to the mains offer a number of advantages:

Whenever water is left standing for a long time, bacteria can multiply in it. Unlike with gallon bottles, water dispensers connected to the mains supply dispense only the amount needed at any given time.

Gallon water dispensers incur high long-term costs for purchasing, transport and storage. In comparison, the cost of tap water is only a fraction of that.

Sustainability

Some of the water gallons are transported over long distances. Added to this are return transport and cleaning, as well as the high amount of plastic required for the gallons.

Fixed water dispensers use tap water, which does not need to be transported in the first place.

When it comes to CO₂ emissions, BRITA water dispensers using tap water also come out on top: the reduction compared with gallon water dispensers is 64 per cent.

What is required for installation?

Apart from sufficient space, the only requirements for installing a mains-connected water dispenser are water and electricity connections at the installation site. We will, of course, take care of the installation and connection at your premises for you.
